During 2008 Willie and Magdaleen Botha took over the reigns from the “de Beers”. A chemical engineer, passionate photographers and nature lovers, the setting at Hops Hollow suited perfectly. The art of brewing beer was taken over from Theo de Beer, and will stay and grow with Hops Hollow.

Our family is an important factor in our lives, and we want it reflected in our business, which means kids are most welcome!

Hops Hollow Country House and Brewpub is situated on the highest point of the Long Tom Pass, 16 km from the town of Lydenburg, and 34 km from the town of Sabie.

Apart from the B&B, there beer on tap and a full onsite bar is available with a bar menu for lunches and dinners. Breakfast is served all day. Special evenings can be arranged, to mark memorable occasions.
